Hello everyone...
Does anyone know how to create the chuggling bass lines Luke Chable does? Ideas on possible sound banks to look for? The sound I am tring to achieve is similar to his rmx of Someday on Mob Records. Thanks for the help! :help:

I'm afraid I've never heard of this Luke Chable, but if you explain what kind of sound you are trying to get out of what kind of synth I bet I could help you

If you mean the Chable vs NuBreed - One day, then it has two layers on bass.

The first layer is the deep bass. It can be reached with two detuned saw waves, or pulsewidth modulated waveforms. They are filtered with an Lp filter, relly deep and triggered on every second tick. I would say, ani 2 oscillator VA synth will do it.

The second layer is more complex. It's mostly the same as the first layer, but maybe an octave higher and not filtered with lowpass filter. There's a short reverb on it, with the dry/wet settings on full wet and maybe after the reverb comes a little distortion... all of this filtered with a bandpass filter. In the end it goes into an EQ, where he cuts down all the low sounds fit this layer inside the mix (the other bass track had no high frequncies, this has no low frequencies).

I just bought Renaissance - The Therapy Sessions Volume 2. One CD mixed by Dave Seaman, and one mixed by Luke Chable. Can't say I'd ever heard of him before, but it's another excellent compilation. It's Renaissance's 28th UK-released mix compilation, and I'm fortunate enough to own them all - right from the original Mix Collection Vol 1.

I can't recommend the series enough.
