Am I missing something? All this time I've been sliding my tracks forward or backward in time within my host by 10-samples here-or-there. No offense but this sure doesn't seem like something requiring $50 worth of complex FIR filtering.

BC, thats what a few of us have been pointing out,(for distance mic correction using delay makes more sense) but there are actual uses for phase shifters, the first and foremost being correction for oppositely placed mics (ie top/bottom of snare).BC wrote:Am I missing something? Tritone Digital is going to release a free plugin that does this after a little while. I believe it is the same as the phase rotator in their Hydratone EQ plugin.

....and wouldn't this be the same as adding a very small delay to one channel?......Aleksey Vaneev wrote:Debutante, phase-shifting in the sense of phase shifting coloration. With the only difference that it is neutral as all frequencies get shifted for the equal amount.
