I have SX2, FLS 5, Abelton Live, EnergyXT and Reason as my DAW hosts.

Cubase has by far the best & most stable Midi support for playing external synths. Haven't upgraded to SX 3 yet because it doesn't really have anything I need.

Are there any other stable hosts with as good (or better) Midi support than Cubase e.g. Sysex recording etc. ?

Podium is quite good with external hardware.

Thanks - looks interesting.

Doesn't support external midi controller tweaking of parameters as far as I can see though...?

You CAN record SysEx in SX2 already.

And there's even a Sysex Editor (MIDI plug-in???) included.

Thanks - I know that :) ....just wondered if there are any alternatives out there (I like SX but feel I'm stuck with it as I'm not aware of any alternatives with as deep midi support)

If they can be controlled directly via for instance midi cc, it should work. But there's no generic remote device stuff in there, but it is on the to-do list.

I wish I could say Muzys... /sigh/
