ok i've almost posted this so many times and didn't but i just heard the song again so....

anyone else ever have this happen? A song, a band, a sound you really don't give a flying crap about

but you LOVE the production

'Breathless' by The Corrs. Slick pop crap, not my bag at all. BUT...everytime it comes on, I gotta turn it up, to bask in what I think must be some of the finest production i've ever heard ever

i don't hear many songs that make me think 'holy crap how did they do that' but there's a certain 'je ne sais crois' about this track. Like it was coated with candy or something.

maybe i'm just insane

Yeah, I can't stand their music, but you'r right about the production.... and they're pretty hot too....

Which part of this song is "holy crap how did they do that".

As I remember it's a straight forward pop song.

there's a bridge before a chorus, when the bridge segues into the chorus there's a crazy phasing/sucking compression thing happening that's killer

show me how to do it pls, and i'd also like the secrets to your own pop production efforts if you think the finish on this tune is 'straightforward'

oh and yeah those ladies might be hot but i'm also of the opinion that they are horrifically skinny...no thanks

BTW, I think the Corrs are OK, and some of their songs are damn good and well done Pop music. You guys should be worried about some actual US boygroups and Euro dance acts

i just don't hear ear candy like that on the radio,... ever

they are doing something in this tracks production i swear. it's probably just some gimmick like they used with cher, but it's not the standard overcompressed radio gimmick either, there's something extra
