I am posting this in the SR forum, as I would assume Squids maybe you knew him. Just saw on our TV news that Paul Hester, the drummer for Crowded House was found dead in a park in Melbourne, Australia today, apparently he has taken his own life.
very sad.

Yeah, I just heard of this. Strange that he always seemed to be a cheerful guy... at least on the surface. I didn't really know him all that well. I worked with Neil and Mark more. I did hang out with them the last time Paul toured with them which was Womad. After that it was downhill when he left the band. He was troubled I think. Argued a lot with Neil even on stage.
I wonder why he would kill himself though. Maybe depression. What a shame. Sad indeed.
