Very Simple Sequencer?

I'm looking for a free, midi-only sequencer for quickly putting ideas down. When I'm doing something else with the computer and suddenly a tune pops into my head it would be handy to have a simple program that loads in an instant and needs barely any resources. I've searched around but haven't had any luck. Does anyone here know of a suitable program?

I would say goto www.hitsquad.com/smm go down to midi sequencers clicks select os then go though list there are several free midi sequencers listed there. some do have vst support and they are FREE. You just have to goto the links to find them.
