And probably leave about 200 left over.

Not quite. Works out at about £1850, before shipping and tax. :(
How much is shipping and tax? Send me the cash, I'll buy it for you and ship it to you, I'm in Maryland so no tax :D

There's been some cool suggestions, and some people who kinda missed the point.

But in the meantime, here's some things I was thinking were kinda cool myself...

Although Ive got a funny feeling Im more likely to be 'sensible' and get a collection of a few things, ie a ReMote 61, an Evolver, a G2 rack, and a second-hand Mono/Poly or something.

Oh, and Im not buying stuff because Im bored. Im asking because Im bored.

stop being bored and go shopping.

Aw c'mon, look at that Macbeth M5. Like an Arp2600 built to last an eternity, with extra long sliding potentiometers.

And it's local to you, so you could probably drive down and pick one up free of shipping charge. If not that, surely a good small modular could be had for that kind of money?

Go for the Doepfer.

Ive been shopping. All I got was a USb/Firewire disk enclosure and a Pixar box set with Finding Nemo and the Incredibles in it. Dundee sucks for cool audio toys.

And today Im bored. But thanks for not helping much.
Well, I actually helped you and now I know that apparently you didn't really listen and understand what you've seen since you didn't apply these things to your own life. Such as not being that much of a consumer due to fight club and realizing the uselessness of things. Besides this consider the polution in producing things, consider the better things these money can be spent on than your boredom.

If you haven't read any Dalai Lama books or the like, read some of those, and "listen" to what you read, and thereby learn. Think of humans being alike which we really are and then on what Dalai Lama does that you could do to develop yourself and reich a higher level of understanding and personality.
You don't need to be religious, it's philosophy really. Philosophy which basically anyone can learn from.

Good luck on your future, remember that your time is running out so use your time wisely.

yeah but The Incredibles is good. Buy a take away and some beer.

 I just realised the irony in my timing there.

For the money you have available, I would consider getting a mint condition Roland RE-301.

Ah, philosophy shmilosophy. Go for the Doepfer A100 system.

Then get Samplerobot and make a sample library! That would save me from having to buy one myself. :D
Excuse all the blood.
