Finally would you care to tell me how nuendo is superior to sequoia audio wise , or cubase to samp ?
Well ,click the Grow up link and you´ll see .
Well the one that migth well check which pills is taken are you both .
I didn´t mind using logic or Samp,i started with a tascam portastudio ,but...
Samplitude lately as implemented VST good for them ,nevertheless cluncky it is has it is their routing,
Samp was the first thing i used on a puter back then DSPF with C console and Samp were the real deal but then ,guess what camed out Nuendo ,and yes ,even Nuendo1 is a more effective tool than Samplitude 8 .
Samp is quircky and uses technology from the time when SCSI was King .

But guess what ,Samplitude or Logic not even for free you´ll see them on my drive.
however if you like them ,you really should know better than I.
Stag - I had to quote the whole thing to include a single correctly placed punctuation mark.

If you want to use a comma, use it like this: with the comma directly after the word and a following space, not the other way round. Same with a full stop. A full stop immediately follows the last word in the sentence with a single space following before the next sentence.

Reading a post where you violate these conventions 95% of time is irritating and undermines your effort to put yourself across as computer savvy: "Geez, the guy cain't even type fer shit!"

so ,where is the third stooge???
Really, i don't mind a conversation with someone who is ... well ... mentally deprived and reality challenged, but you go even beyond that, so i will not bother. I'm glad you like SX. Enjoy it. I've tried it, don't like it and after seeing your thought process in action, i realise there is nothing you could have noticed using it that i could have missed :D

I'm not nasty you're just unimportant :hihi:

It's amazing how many people are running into such basic mistakes. The same goes for brackets (no spaces between them and the letters following/preceeding, unless you need to post a link in brackets here at KVR or wherever, in which case the closing bracket would spoil it).
And it's got nothing to do with proper english either, as the comma-, full stop- and bracket-rules are just the same worldwide.

Tells you how carefully those people are reading books (in case they are at all, which has to remain questionable).

No, you're not being nasty indeed. Just, shall we say, "realistic".

Those who can do maths and those who can't.

popsych wrote:This is somewhat realated to the logic PC:: fight or swith thread but my problem has a twist : I have tried replacing Logic with a multitude of hosts, mainly due to it's inability of working with a couple of excellent soft synths (Korg Legacy Cell and White Noise Zero Vector) but with no success as my work is mainly MIDI based. Also would like to use rewire, but is utter s*** [bigrantmodeon]

Sonar 4 : I find the MIDI laughable compared to Logic, no so much feature wise, but workflow wise. Also hate the DXi trouble.

SX2 : Cluttered, Cluttered, Cluttered and did i mention Cluttered ? Also an unintuitive mixer, and again MIDI editing is bad.

Both above mentioned keep vstis running even when inactive so are CPU killers.

Podium : This is looking quite promising, and has an innovative way of thinking but is, maybe , a bit too "innovative" in some departments, while in the automation you can't see where you're drawing over. No key bindings and other typical pro products stuff. Has a lot o potential though.

Tracktion : This is a joke midi wise and i don't like it's UI (not the colours of course - the workflow)

Sampltitude : This is getting quite good, and has a multitude of things i like in Logic, e.g. one tool - many uses, which i really miss in other hosts, a bit lacking on features for MIDI but excellent Audio, mixer and workflow. I can't get a level meter readout of the VSTi output though and the editor is a bit slow when loading unloading, using.

In the end i reached the conclusion that the only thing that would do, was a MAC and Logic 7, but then i realised that most of my lovely plugs do not exist on MAC :(. Taking the sculptor metaphor I have to choose to compromise between my chisel and my Materials.

Can anyone suggest another chisel :P or am i stuck ?
I don't like the chainer/ext workaround.

Who´s picking a figth here ???
So ,only Logic will do ,speak for your self.
I´m a registered Steinberg user and proud to be.
Who the f**k are you to tell me i´m wrong.

Concerning the other Logic goons your arguments are really irrefutable .
i have to be a firts class moron to waste my time on you.
BTW seems the other SX users have a lot more usefull things to do ,like having fun doing some noise.
I will follow their example.
As always Mr.Sascha (having a nick with your RL really induces people to think you´re some kind of developer or are you seeking notoriety here???) RTFM ,and try to understand it ,don´t mind the comas.

Post

Stag why don't you wander along back to Cubase.net and play with the other 14 year olds, m'kay?

Post

So, do I need to search for an extra nick now, to look more cool or so?

Why haven't you been telling me before, stag?
Anymore of such wisdom? I'd be eternally grateful!

Stag you really are sad. I'm ending it here. Obviously you have as much knowledge on Logic as you have IQ - 273.15 Kelvin degrees (only in celsius :hihi:). Goodbye steinberg fanboy

Nice way to spell 'first' BTW. Shows true intelligence!

It must be part of a new steinberg naming convention which yields about 20-40% better UI interaction than logic :hihi:

I have no problems with Steinberg, but his behavior doesn't help their image. If he likes Cubase, more power to him. I'm sure it's got it's advantages.

I apologize if i implied the same does not hold true for me. I do not in way think, ANY bit of software is perfect, and not logic either. It's just i'm annoyed how when i start a thread genuinely interested in alternative viable solutions, people jump in and claim their host is GOD. I have bashed every single host in existence. It's a matter of which host works better for me, but which one lacks less features of the kind i need, and doesn't annoy me in the process of using these.

The one-sighted rules the blind sort of thing

I totally agree, I haven't found one host with all the features and workflow that I want either. I just can't stand that fanboy crap. + and - abound in life, DAWs are no exception.

OK Stag. Million laughs. We'll miss you.

You have a gift - even if it is only giving illiteracy a bad name ;-)
