I'd consider from the following list:
Nord G2
Tannoy active monitors
2x 19" or 21" lcd monitors
melodyne
Waldorf microQ
Samplitude Classic
Powercore
FS1R

cruise e-bay to bid on vintage synths

sample their wave forms and generate multi-velocity layered sampler formats combined with sampled toy devices in a unique and revolutionary synthesis

start a business selling them

wind up in various court battles where your wit and barrister-like debate skills can come to the public's attention

lose copyright infringement cases, lose 2000 pounds easily, but catapult to world wide fame as an advocate for musician's rights before during and after your sentence

religious conversion in prison leads to meeting the Dalai Lama. Turns out he'd been wanting to meet you for some time, but his patience practice allowed him to wait.

You could buy a pair of DIY modular synths. I would keep one of them, as payment for building the other one for you.

Blimey - £2000 for a flat! I wonder what a fully inflated tyre goes for :)

Sorry - Friday night, couldn't resist (the beer).

Regards,

Derek.

P.S. I'd go for 4000 kazoos - buy one a day and you can shop for 11 years
Less than 1000 posts and writer's block has set in :-(

That should also secure you a place in the world record books.

I've just bought Minimonsta and I might get the other GMedia synths as they've all come down in price - plenty of change left if you have £2000 to spend.

send me some money and I'll send you some modified stompboxes in return.
