And latest from the musical bakery is a Latin Shakers soundfont! You got a little sample of these in my previously posted Latin Percussion soundfont, but here's the expanded version of the shakers.

Plenty of velocity layers for realism here. I think the recordings came out really well, too. I concentrated on capturing the subtle sound of the little dried seeds inside of the shakers swishing around after the initial "shake." Enjoy!
Also, for your information, cabasas and maracas are LP instruments (see http://www.lpmusic.com/Product_Showcase ... talog.html). The maracas are LP Pro Maracas, and the cabasa is a LP Afuche-Cabasa. The other shakers are Remo apple shakers -- a large one and a small one.

Thank you geoffkhan
You can now download it from

I particularly like the shaker and how it plays on C#
I like that a lot - also the page you have linked with all of the percussion instruments - that is fun to check out.
Best regards,
Peter

Yeah, I'm especially proud of the maracas, even though there's only two velocity samples for that.Spe3D wrote:I particularly like the shaker and how it plays on C#
Here's the mapping:
A#3 - Afuche-Cabasa down
B3 - Afuche-Cabasa up
C4 - Large apple shaker
C#4 - Maracas
D4 - Small apple shaker

Just got the chance to listen to this and it is really nice. I like how you can really hear the full decay of the sound as the beans settle in the shaker. Great work!
