Just wanted to let you guys know, I have this huge mega track I was mixing down, maybe over 30 tracks where I had at least 5 vst's going on almost each track... T1 the cpu goes 99% and T2 goes to about 75% now. WOW.
any other dreamy stories like this?

Unfortunately I can't confirm this here.
In all my tests they were about the same.
If you are using the T2 CPU meter for monitoring please note the display will vary depending on the "meter speed" setting in T2 Settings Tab.
Can anybody report any improvement to VST compatibility?
Any thing that did not work 100% in T1 but works in T2?

I can indeed confirm it. That was the first thing I noticed - also the gui seems to be much quicker - and: compared to T1 freezing/rendering is lightning fast.
T1's rendering was amongst the slowest in the sequencer world - T2's rendering is one of (if not the) fastest - hell - it can even compete easily with Sonar

err... dude ??? Steinberg only got a freeze functoin with v2.0 (never mind that it was not usable). Pro tools works atleast 3 years behind the rest.imember wrote:Does Pro Tools even have a freeze function? I've never seen anyone use it...

ure kidding right ? If so, we can take this conversation forward. Else consider it closed.Lunch Money wrote:Of course, since so much of the Pros' work uses the incorporated hardware solutions, there's probably less need for freeze.
