Please don't do too many Wave Sequences. Although I love browsing through those presets, and I really really respect the skill of the people who create them, they are more or less unusable for my type of songs ;)

my point exactly :-)

What one wants .... the other don't.

Arggggg :x Just realized I have overwritten my latest bank. Oh well only lost about a dozen patches but a couple I liked. Stupid me.

Anyway what does Hans mean by Wavesequence patches? Does he mean the kind that have drums, a bass or synth loop etc or the long evolving pads that step thru a series of samples? Back to work. :?

Yeah, tons of things can be done with wavesequences besides the '1-finger band' presets which I'm guessing are the ones Hans isn't fond of :)

But the One Finger patches are the most fun to create. :P

I guess it really speaks to the power of the Wusik Engine that it can be so many different things to different users. A rompler for "Real"instruments, a powerful VA synth, a Wavesequencer, a Vector Synth, etc. Maybe there should be a poll. What kind of samples and patches do you want for the upcoming ManyMore releases?

uh oh.... pls don't do that too often.

I think Hans means both.
But first: I'm in no way representative for the Manystation (or WS) community, just an old-fashioned guy who doesn't really know his way around synths. My reply was mainly to affirm Paul's statement.

To answer your question: I just never find myself using evolving sounds, either wave-sequenced (e.g. several sounds in a row), or with LFO's etc. I do play with them sometimes, but it's just not the type of sounds that I make songs with. (Maybe I should but 'yet' at the end of that sentence ;) ). Same thing for other complex sounds, drum loops etc.
It's not just these sounds though, I also don't use step sequencers etc., I have ERA, DK+, and I just find myself playing the arps by hand, or drums on my dig. drums.

Haven't we had that discussion before? In one of the Wusikstation threads? One Finger patches can be too much like mini-compositions. Almost music in itself, and adored by many ;), but also too much musical content in one patch to use in songs for others...

That says it all...
It is a bit of everything...

A Poll won't help ...I have to release what i have here (And can get my hands on) to Sample :-)

Just kidding.... We got Lots in the works guys... Just wait and see!

I see your point when it comes to samples. If someone asks for a Didgeridoo sample and you don't have one to sample that could present a problem. But I'd still like to know what kind of patches Manystation users want. Not much use of me filling up a bank with patches no one wants. :D

(Just sent you my updated ManyStation Bank. I'll have to redo about a dozen patches then it'll be ready- if I don't overwrite it again. :hihi: )

Hehe
Funny you mention Didgeridoo...
I had a guy come in the studio and we sampled His Didgeridoo extensively for 1 shot style stuff :-)

I think i can assure you that no matter what your patches are, that most people will Love them. I mean it's best to show all sides of the synth... Your preset programming helps others to understand how it all works ... So even if the patch is not usable to some so to speak, It will Help many of us understand how the synth can work and be programmed ... Thus allowing others to program there own Great 1 finger Song Patches :-)

I'm jusy saying I love every Patch you have done so far ..
I see in my mailbox that you just sent the new ones :-)
Back in a Bit :-)
Going to Play.

Okay....

I just tried Teksoniks new patches...
Some very cool stuff there.
I Love the Vector Patches. Using the X - Y pad to morph through the layers.... Neat stuff Tek!!

I hope you do a few more of those to fill the Bank...

Also your Drum Loop ideas are cool too..
I would Love to do a Full Bank or more of Drum loops down the road. It makes for Layin down some Quick Tracks.

I look forward to the finished bank.
We will release it to the Users as soon as i Get it.
If you are quick enough Teksonik, I can put it in the VSTi installer that we are updating this week with Odos skin Fix.
(Teksonik originally did 64 patches for the original release ...This will take his bank up to a full 96 !)

vurt ....The Didgeridoo will be released as a ManyMore soon.
Cheers

Ah ha! I just realized that I had saved my full bank to the Factory Default bank. Once I loaded up an empty .flp file in FL Studio the default bank reloaded so no lost patches. Now I just have to go back and see if they would have been worth saving in the first place. Got your message about the non MS samples. I tried to use only Manystation samples in this bank but it appears I failed so I'll go back thru and replace any samples that weren't included in the MS set. I'll try to get it done in time for the new installer. :D

Thanks for the kind words about the new patches! I'm just going to send what I consider my best patches and hopefully MS users will find them useful. Cheers! :D
