Is there a preferred sample rate for Sampletank sounds

I use Sampletank with a bunch of Sonic Reality sounds in Sonar, and I am just beginning to experiment with setting a higher sample rate (48/24) to improve the quality of recorded vocals, etc. I currently use 44/24.

Here are my questions:

1. What sample rate and bit depth are used for SampleTank/Sonic Reality samples?

2. Are there any "ideal" sample rate / bit depth settings for a sound card for playing back or recording Sampletank sounds, or is this irrelevant?

I appreciate any help the forum can provide to help me understand how these factors interact, if at all.
