Minihost looks great and all, but, no Mac support. It's a shame that there's not a program that supports this for the Mac. I downloaded that new PlugAdmin host, but it looks like its just for keeping track of all the plug-ins that you have installed on your computer.

Any suggestions?

though dsp-quattro's primary fonction is audio editing, it supports vst/au instruments ( as well as effects )

HostX: http://www.kvraudio.com/get/616.html (you'll need the Max/MSP Runtime to run it though)

all of them have certain drawbacks (VSTiHost and Rax aren't free) but these are the closest things to a simple host on OSX that I know of

AUTO-ADMIN: Non-MP3, WAV, OGG, SoundCloud, YouTube, Vimeo, Twitter and Facebook links in this post have been protected automatically. Once the member reaches 5 posts the links will function as normal.

I'm working in Hosts-Features for PlugAdmin. It will be ready for AU and VST in one of the next versions. I hope to do host features for MAS and RTAS also...
