Sorry, Aleksey, I respect you, but that's pretty bogus..

I know! What's up with the Lite version having a less rich feature set!? Crazy! And to recommend that someone buy the full product to get more features...Sickle wrote:This is Cruel & Unusual marketing, Aleksey!!
But seriously... is the Lite version easier on the CPU? I doubt that I use the full version to its potential, so the Lite version interests me if I can get as much product as I want, but with better CPU usage.

Just a small question: not having true stereo (not sure what this is so i'm asking) means that you can load only mono impulses or makes the stereo impulses act like mono? Or no? I'm just interested if it uses stereo impulses correctly and i don't care about other things. Thanks.

To understand TrueStereo, quoted from the manual:
Best to try it yourself with the full version demo by panning the input signal with TrueStereo and Non-TrueStereo.The concept of `true stereo reverb' is very simple. Chances are, in most cases, you are using a single stereo reverb impulse file with a stereo input, meaning that each input channel is processed with a single channel of the impulse file. This concept works well with non-panned mono signals. But if you wish to pan the input, such an approach gives unsatisfying results: the output signal will be also panned, but its reverb structure will remain the same. This, of course, does not sound nice at all, especially when mixing several panned sources. To overcome this problem, so-called `true stereo' processing can be used. But for this to work, you should use two stereo reverb impulses and four convolution channels routed to two outputs.

Aleksey, correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't it have more sense setting the intro price period at the same time the group buy starts? This way, users who don't want to wait until the GB ends can buy the plugin right now with the introductory price.Basic intro price would be $49.95. I will set it after group buy finishes.

Sickle, why it is unusual marketing? It is pretty usual. True stereo requires 4 channels to operate - that's not stereo operation.
pough, the Lite version is as efficient as the full version. There should be no differences between the two.
So, in the light version you can't use more than one stereo impulse file and you can't use multi-channel operations. These are the only differences present. For $59.95 (or lower) this is pretty reasonable.

Does that require any special setup, or just loading to files in two instances? Are there any disadvantage to this method, sound-wise?Aleksey Vaneev wrote: You may use modular hosts to implement this using two instances of Pristine Space Light.

I bloody need a low lantency plugin, and I'm sure, choosing Voxengo, to follow the pro route.aleksey wrote:So, in the light version you can't use more than one stereo impulse file and you can't use multi-channel operations. But the idea isn't that hot, even if my gearslut dna will make me buy it.
it's like the bypass button on the AF insert plug-in.
it's a functionality. nothing wrong in adding useful functions, right?
