If you weren't from an English speaking country, I might understand but you're making an idiot of yourself. Do you understand the difference between VST and VSTi? And doesn't that entry in the ChangeLog suggest that VST [effect] support was already there and that this was an improvement? I bought Fruity at v1.7 and I'm pretty sure it supported VST effects then. VSTi support was put in during the beta phase of v3, when I was testing it for them.TVD wrote: Actually, it was v2:
Scans VST plugs in both user & Fruity directories.
CORRECTION: THAT information came from the FL Studio website.BONES wrote:If you weren't from an English speaking country, I might understand but you're making an idiot of yourself. As for Fruity's workflow, it is an abomination.
Explain your opinion please.BONES wrote: As for Fruity's workflow, it is an abomination.
One thing I like about Orion is that it will tell you the exact number of outputs of all of your instruments.BONES wrote: As for Fruity's workflow, it is an abomination.
All you have to do is check "Enable Multiple Outputs" in the triangle drop down menu on the Fruity Wrapper. This allows you to chose whether or not you want an instrument to take up just one or more mixer strips.TVD wrote:One thing I like about Orion is that it will tell you the exact number of outputs of all of your instruments.BONES wrote: As for Fruity's workflow, it is an abomination.
When using FLS, all the instruments have just one (even the drum synths)
Let's start with non-standard windows operation like clicking on the icon in a window title bar to call up presets [asuming it still works that way]. Then let's move on to a single block in the playlist for a pattern, regardless of length [could finally be different by now, who knows]. Then there's the ability to see only one Channel Window at a time, and all the tiny little pages, one at a time, it contains. And there's the necessity of changing tools all the time in the PR. But the biggest one for me is the inability to organise the GUI in such a way as to have access to all the things you want to get at easily, especially once you have a few channels and you have to scroll around, or zip 'em or do some other thing to keep it all manageable, that really just makes it worse. e.g how long does it take you to open up somone else's project and work reduce the amount of reverb on the bass-line?Teksonik wrote:Explain your opinion please.BONES wrote: As for Fruity's workflow, it is an abomination.
sorry bones.. but you obviously don't know what you're talking about. Nice try.. butBONES wrote:Let's start with non-standard windows operation like clicking on the icon in a window title bar to call up presets [asuming it still works that way]. Orions DRIVERS??? since when does a software program have drivers besides Gigastudio??Ian Stone wrote:So you're saying FL Studio is better than Orion? No way. For one thing, Orion Platinum's drivers are simply better. Better sound, period. Next, Orion has way better synth's than FL Studio. FL Studio has so many cheesy sounds I don't even know where to begin laughing. To me, FL is like an introduction to music making. But if you want a serious VST, invest in Orion.TVD wrote:In case Bones never told you, I try out Orion 5.8 (demo) a few months ago.Kriminal wrote:Do you use Orion?
And I like the mixer arrangements a lot (especially for using drum synths).
Even now, I putting money aside for Orion. And for my own production, it will co-exist with FL Studio 5 & Audition.
But I want to know what Orion 6 is going to look like first.
