Very cool stuff, indeed. Is there a minimum donation amount to get rid of the nag screen?

I just checked this synth out on my work computer, very nice indeed, very rich sounds. However the vst crashed in energyXT after 3 minutes of playing, then crashed again when I tried the standalone. I definitely would not donate until the crashes are fixed.

I've installed the synth, but the presets are gone! All I see is a bank of 80 -init- patches. I've tried it in Renoise, Chainer and eXT it's all the same. I've even reinstalled the thing to it's default directory but to no luck. Any ideas?
edit: Now it worked, but I had to force it to install to Program Files\Foorious dir (on my German WinXP, the default program dir is called Programme). Just like the path would be hardcoded somewhere, wouldn't it?

I had the same problem, no presets and a blank standalone. First I uninstalled the synth then reinstalled to both default directories (standalone and vst) then it worked.

doogs wrote:I think this might be an installer issue. Try uninstallling and then reinstalling using c:/program files/foorius and whatever vst directory.paradiddle wrote:nice synth man! Works fine in VSTi format but in the standalone, the gui is blank. Only a vst host pops-up.
All I see is a menu with engine, devices, and help.
Also, I just tried in eXT (the latest beta release) and it worked fine at my end. Make sure the foorius.dll is in you vst plugin directory.
It appears that the standalone needs some more workThanks for the feedback
Yes I think you are right

the filters are amazing. thank you for the 18db's!! finally people are adding 18db filters to their synths! (Alesis Micron is another one i like...)
the nag is not that annoying, but it could be less 'commercialized'. it certainly does not feel like Donationware, or even Shareware in many cases. Well, i donated anyway coz i donate to the church of smartelectronix anyway.
it does use quite alot of cpu, could it be the graphics? they do seem a bit slow. i'm running it on a P4 1.6 and eXT. although i'm running a firewall and antivirus, i dont think that is affecting the performance much. just tested Crystal and it works fine and fast. disabling the effects helps a bit
another vote for the volume boost...

Guys, did you try the editors? Editing foorius is a bliss, and there's a lot to edit... like a synth for a lifetime.
Dougall & team, excellent work, I'm watching my mailbox

really cool stuff! although I do have a few questions. Is there a way to have envelope points snap to the grid? as is I have to zoom in quite a bit to get exact rhythmic envelopes. I had another question but I forgot it. I don't think the nag screen is overly obnoxious either, I much prefer it to a dropout or similar...

This synth could use a coulpe of banks of patches...is quite the strange one to program..a simple vcf. env setting is hard to do with that nag comming up all the time and all those hidden rightclic menus...

I cannot take my hands off it!
Cool, great work!

Thank you smarties!
I want to pay for it, but unfortunately I've got no Credit-Card. Is there another way? And how much?
