heh..Are you just now figuring this out almost ten years later?

Nah more like in the last 3 years or so.

Now all I hear of is dieselboy, kaos, concord dawn (c**ts that they are), Karl K, etc.

A few years ago All you heard was andy c, ram trilogy, Dom & Roland, Tech itch, Stakka and skynet, etc. I still see a few of the UK names today, but not as many anymore

Drum n Bass is a funny old genre. Although a uniquely UK creation (for once!) it has never been a populist form of music. It has, however, always had a very strong following which has meant that, while other music forms spring up from the underground (speed garage, 2-step garage, grime) and then died, DnB has always remained a force for those in the know.

It evolves at such a rate that I cannot keep up with it - has the metal guitars thing been and gone?

Oh yeah - Back from the future by Dom & Roland: class

Every drum n bass track I've heard with an electric guitar in it has come from South of the U.S., except for 1 track on Dieselboy's newest album.

I f**king heart dieselboy

After I finish 3 tracks I'm working on right now, I'm going to try and talk to dieselboys's new label. Everything that comes out of it is golden.

Grab everything with the name "Kaos" on it. I have never heard a song with his name on it that wasn't absolutely top notch. I don't think he has come out with a track only by him. I only see his name on collabs, which makes me think he does most of the mastering.

Is it quite dark stuff? The name sounds familiar (in the collab context) from stuff from L Double's Radio 1Xtra show

It's pretty dark. Not 'stab your mom' dark like dieselboy's albums "Sixth Session" and "System upgrade".

It's VERY clean and hard though.

Well it's a largely varying genre.

Not D'n'B, but still, you must now change your name officially. The powers have spoken.
