Here's one that might have gone unnoticed by most of you, but it's all I've used now for months. This was made for me by the talented & much lamented Nicfit.

Dried Blood Tek Skin

There's a glitch using the skin as it has no GUI for the zoom square at the bottom left of the seq comp, but other than that it's easy breezy..If anyone's intrested in fixing that or doing anything further with this, I'd love to see it as this is hands down my favorite skin.

Hope someone gets a kick out of using it, and hope you are well, Richard..

I'm thinking of doing a new skin done in the style of the Bitmap Brother's games, if anyone remembers those. Trying to work out whether to base it on GODS or Speedball.

Speedball (if yo're open to voting).

This has got me thinking - wouldn't it be cool to have game graphics in eXT. It'd have to be more than just a skin though - I reckon every time you connect two components in the workspace the line should be drawn by one of those light cycles from Tron :)

It'd be fun for about the first 1.5 times you used it (or every time you used it to impress your mates), then you'd have to throw your monitor out of the window

Regards,

Derek.

Two of my fave BB games were Magic Pockets and Xenon II Megablast. Anyone remember the 'Betty Boo' sound-track to Magic Pockets  Ahhhhh.....

I remember the betty boo track. That was perhaps one of the best bits of game music ever,so perfectly suited that game, which was superb also :hyper:

I miss classic games :(

hahaha, speedball it is then. I actually prefered Speedball II: Brutal Deluxe on the Amiga/ST. Just seemed like a graphically refined version of the original with a nice palette. I'll try and keep the 16 colour palette that was used.

The trick with the bitmap brothers was that they alternated between hues when doing graphics. Dark grey, Dark purple all the way to Light grey, Light purple etc.

Have to admit, I loved the Xenon II soundtrack (Bomb the Bass: Megablast) and the GODS soundtrack (Nation XII). The later stuff like The Chaos Engine was good too. After "Z", the Bitmap Bros never seemed to strike gold again. Shame. Part of my childhood. :(
