oh wow! thats brilliant news, I have the Audiophile 2496, so I can use my PC with ProTools without the stupid PT Hardware. Is there a comparison anywhere to show the differences between M-Powered and PT LE? Or is M-Powered the same thing as LE just without the M-Box/Digi001 hardware necessity? I see that M-Powered can have up to 32 Mono tracks like LE.

Go here:
http://www.digidesign.com/products/le/
click:
Side-by-side hardware and software comparison chart
click at the bottom of the pop-up window:
Software Features at a Glance
and there's your comparison
Basically its EXACTLY the same, except for the bundled Lite software (Amplitube Lite, Ableton Live Lite etc), and no support for Control|24, DV Toolkit or DigiTranslator. None of that I care about, so this is utterly fantastic. Bye bye stupid M-Box that I can only get workin on my Mac and not on my PC anyway, hello Low latency with my Audiophile 2496, oh yeah!

Top of the morning to you MR. Trunes....
Yea this is cool news as you now the mbox has some major latency issues. I am considering dishing out the mbox and using the cash to get a firewire 410 and m-powered. It is a bit of a price jump but to be able to run PT with a nice portable 4 input firewire I/O is way cool.
