I'm looking for some particular sampled instruments for a video soundtrack project. Would like a sitar sound, and some sort of middle eastern wind instrument that has that sort of nasally sound, don't know its name.
And just in general cause I like the sound, I would like a good set of panpipes and andean flute.
I have looked around some, but these sort of instruments seem hard to find. Cost is not so important, quality and playability is.
I also do not have any sample player/sampler either, so some recommendation there would also be useful.
Any help is appreciated.
Suggestions requested - looking for sampler and sounds

SFZ is simple (and free) sample player. It can also play soundfonts. If you want something better, it will cost a lot.
There are sites with free samples, but the stuff you search is hard to find indeed. Try Herman Witkam's page... and google
Good luck!

Well, if money’s no object you might want to go for Quantum Leap RA – it seems to be pretty comprehensive when it comes to ethnic instruments:
www.soundsonline.com/sophtml/details.phtml?sku=EW-163
It comes with its own Kompakt player software so no sampler is necessary.
