The title says it all... I'm just looking for some kind of equalizer without too many bands, having a precise lo-cut, a hi-cut and 2 ou 3 paragraphic equalizers...

In fact, i just want to cut some very low frequencies while making my mixdown, and boost up a little bit to add color or warmth in the range i want.
I like it graphic so i don't want things like NWeq.
I enjoy SH-1 freehand drawable equalizer (like Firium), but there are too many bands, i like Nyquist, but it doesn't seem to have any locut options, and it is beautiful but you can't read precisely the frequencies, and i don't really trust simple lo-cut filters whithout any indications...

if you have any suggestions, thank you !

try the linear phase graphic eq2 from slim slow slider, it's free, it's great & it might be just what you need.

PeterL..thanks. I tried it out last night. Yeah it's a CPU hog, but NWEQ is JUST what I needed as far as quality.

I just found this thread, and i think, i have to post a comment... if the CPU hit was high, use NWEQ only with the character knobs turned to 100% on the left side. It's much faster then (but not lower quality... most EQ plugins use filters like this). On my home computer i get this results:

if all the filters are active (gain<>0) and i use:
character 1: 11.2% CPU hit
character 2: 16.8% CPU hit
between character 1&2: 22.4% CPU hit

if only one filter is used:
character 1: 3% CPU hit
character 2: 5% CPU hit
between character 1&2: 7% CPU hit

If the gain of a filter is -oo dB, the filter is turned off and does not eat up more CPU.
