Does eSoundz offer a price-matching service? When I bought SampleTank 2XL the best price I found was through an online search, which I then price-matched at a local store to save the hassle of making sure the site I found was reputable, and having to make a photocopy of my school ID and all (it was an Academic Version). Does eSoundz offer Academic Prices? If so (and if they're as low as they can be found elsewhere) I would love to support eSoundz rather than Guitar Center :D if I buy anything more. Maybe the ST2.1 sound update :) (if it's really ****in' good) and after that maybe Philharmonik, although every demo included in the press release besides the full orchestral one (loved that one :D) made me reconsider my estimation.

Thanks for the info, marre :) if it's only a little reverb then it probably won't make a difference. Maybe the stereo sample issue won't be too much of a problem; that's what I'll hope, anyway. Philharmonik may be my choice after all, although I'll keep my eyes open for price/info on GPO2 :) and anything else yet to be announced

I can only thank you for doing that. It is quite nice of you. I know it's not expensive and I'll think about buying it... I have to see if I can afford it, though...
Thanks very much again. Have fun in Frankfurt,

Coltell
Well, I talked to the powers that be and IK will in fact honor it for anyone who purchased it since Jan 20th. No grace period beyond that but at least that's better than March 1st. One was a mistake but I think letting it be Jan 20 is the right move thinking of pleasing customers. It wasn't actually sent out as a PR but it was printed on an IK page so... you win. eSoundz will go back to Jan 1st as a grace period just cuz we'll spot our customers our soundz for an extra couple of weeks because that's how we are.

Cool?

eSoundz doesn't do price matching really. But, we can do bundle deals for multiple products manually (ie. via sales@esoundz.com or a phone call). The site itself automatically gives you a higher discount when you are a frequent customer. This is only when you log in and then you can see "your price". So, the more you buy the better your deals are. Then there's ePointz where you can get $5. credit for a referal mentioning someone else's name (hint: you can even mention Squids as a referal and it will work but if you mention someone from the forum they'll appreciate it because THEY also get $5 in epointz when YOU order something and enter their name as a referal).

Then there are special benefits, free sounds, upgrades, crossgrades, good customer service and other special things that are MORE valuable than price matching to save you $20 because a much larger store may sell it for a little less. Oh, we also do free international shipping for anything over $199 so that too is another benefit. It's just a different type of store than a major chain. We don't compete directly for the guy price shopping on the net. eSoundz is made for sound and software JUNKIES in other words! ;) If you REALLY love sounds and plug-ins and you get hooked at least it gets better and better for you, which it should right? Most of it is all done automatically too.

Squids!!! You're da man!
Thanks a lot for doing that! I do appreciate it!
I guess I'll have to go and spend 100€ at esoundz now ;-)

Guess it's not for me, then :P no money to be a sounds junkie.

Thanks for the info, though - I'll order from eSoundz if I ever get rich. By the way, when I said price-matching, I didn't mean by like $20.00. You can find some really great deals! I saved $150.00 or so on ST2XL :D

Whew that sounds so aweful, but I guess that's what I am. I try to control it, but I just can't. I never intended to become an esoundz junky, it just sort of happened.

If you use harmonygardens as a referrer, you also get the free dog barking sample. :o LOL

Seriously, buying at esoundz does have great benefits. I've dropped a fair amount of moola at esoundz, but with the group buys, crossgrades, upgrades, membership level discounts and a few epointz, I've gotten a heck of a lot of great stuff for what I've spent. Squids has my number for sure. How can you not get excited about esoundz when they take care of us so well.

I got into esoundz on the SS1 group buy, and have been saving money ever since. I can only say that in the long run, buying from esoundz will save you money. I paid less for Sampletank 2 XL from esoundz than I would pay on any academic discount I've found.

Hey this is great I look forward to the upgrade of Sampletank2 and buying the improved sounds.
