The only thing I'm a little concerned with now is wether these drivers take over or just install alongside.I mean being able to use PTLE with an Audiophile is nice and all but I'm not going to disable Sonar for it.

Why would they take over? It is not a driver update...of course you will be able to use Sonar. Guess how much they will sell if after install you're not able anymore to use whatever sound software?

Why the f*** did they put the chick in the chair in this advertisement? Makes me think of the chicks in bikini you see in motor magazines...

Do motor buyers and audiotechheads have similar profiles?

$350 in addidtion to the M-Audio peripheral

So basically this means getting PTLE and you're stuck to M-Audio hardware instead?

Nope this means you're paying $350 for the PTLE plus another few hundred dollars for the M-Audio interface.

Not neccessarily, you can get an Audiophile 2496 these days for under a hundred bucks and while it may not have the i/o and built in pre's that the M-Box has,it'll perform much better than the USB dropout box.

ha yeah i thought about that one a lot actually ive seen that on a poster before. i try to avoid sexist talk in music production(im a big proponent of getting more women in the biz), but that photo is just too funny.
i see her as a vocalist in the waiting room of a studio.
i also feel like digidesign implies that the only device that hot girls are using is the mbox.

Yeah well, but it's just insane how they abuse their Pro image to get consumers to buy their products...

Did you read the installation instructions.... like how to install the newest drivers ...
and what happens when you start the demo ...

Alot of unsupported M-Audio cards like the 1010LT is reported to works with the demo.

Why isn't the M-Audio Firewire Solo supported?
