What is this all about?? I have repaired my permissions and bindings since install so that is not the problem.

I just recently purchased & installed ST2XL (with latest updates) and SS2 and was goofing around tweaking some knobs when I noticed what seems to be a very obvious bug: when you click the knobs such as lo gain, mid freq, attack (actually all of them), the dial image shakes and gitters spastically and keeps bouncing all the way down to zero. It is only after I drag my cursor almost up to the top of the screen that I can get the values and knob to change and even then the knob(s) flutter back and forth like crazy.

That's odd. I'm running ST2XL on a mac without any trouble. Good luck, hope you can get things sorted out.

Hey tdm71,
I get this behavior also. I'm using Sampletank 2XL in Tracktion on an iMac G4700 OSX 10.2.8. It makes it difficult to set an accurate setting doesn't it. I notice it's worse if the sequence is playing so perhaps it's CPU grunt releated
I've just been putting up with it

This same graphic bug existed for me when I tried out the demo of T-Racks, but oddly enough, not with SS2/ST2. Got to be the same type of problem though....tdm71 wrote:I just recently purchased & installed ST2XL (with latest updates) and SS2 and was goofing around tweaking some knobs when I noticed what seems to be a very obvious bug: when you click the knobs such as lo gain, mid freq, attack (actually all of them), the dial image shakes and gitters spastically and keeps bouncing all the way down to zero. Well not that I'm happy that anyone else has this but I am relieved it is not just my system. So this is an obvious bug and hopefully Squids can chime in soon with some advice.
BTW: I have a dual G4 1.25 with OS10.3.8 and 1,5 gig of ram.
Squids???

As I am in the process of migrating to Mac, I'm also interested in hearing the official response to this bug.

This bug has been around for a while, since the update to the most recent version. I contacted Jason when I first experienced it and we tried some work arounds but nothing has worked so far. I've also noticed it in T-Racks as well but not Amplitube. I've just had to live with it so far, it's a drag, I can't set pitch increments, volumes etc. with a mouse. Hope this isn't a part of ST 2.1

SQUIDS-
Having spent well over $500 on both ST2 and SS2 recently (last month), It would be really appreciated if you could comment on this and what the plans are to fix this??? I'm obviously not the only one who has this and had to deal with this and it seems like other would like some answers too.
It has been a week now that this thread has been up and not one comment or concern? I realize Messe was going on but you have replied to other more positive threads since then.
It is a MAJOR flaw/bug when the whole point of having these plugs is to enjoy them and edit them to one's liking and when every way to edit ANY parameter is effected by this glitch, it can make a great piece of software rather avoidable.
If this was hardware, who wouldn't return it?

I don't know. I am not the one fixing the bugs. But, the people who do have seen this thread and I am sure they are working on it. I'll let you know when I know more.
All I know is that together with the new enhancements in ST2.1 a good amount of time has been spent to address known issues so hopefully this one too....
