I've been using these VSTs for a while now in Orion and Fruity, but I've noticed that there is no way to load the sound banks, in some sequencer, trackers. Is there any way to get them to load a default bank when run?

Muon synths don't load a bank of presets automatically - the anticpation is that you'll make your own sounds with them

O.K. I'll buy that, but it would be nice to have a load button for programs that don't let you load sounds! If I have an hour to make some music I don't want to spend that time programming the synth. Maybe I need more time on my hands.

The host program is normally responsible for providing the load button, not the plugin. In a lot of cases they also have facilities to load and save Cubase-compatible FXB and FXP files too. Sounds like you need to read the manual for your sequencer....

For the benefit of Dave - Fruityloops allows you to load FXB and FXP - it's a standard function of the VSTi wrapper.

O.K. Linplug synths I own, RMIII, ChronoX, Delta III, all have a load button, MHC synths, Space Synth etc.: preloaded, FM7: preloaded, Crystal: preloaded, Vivaldi: preloaded, and on and on. For the record I have read all or part of:

Reason Manuals 1 and 2
Fruity Loops 3.0-3.5
Storm 2.0
Orion Platinum 3.5
and countless synth tutorials

Only the Muon synths I purchased; Tau Pro and Electron, am I faced with this dilemma, but thanks for your concern!

In Fruity there's a big triangle button located in the wrapper - click on it and you will see one of the options in the resulting menu will be "Load Cubase presets"

Actually, the only reason I brought this up is because I was using it (Tau Pro) in Renoise, and since there is no provision for loading banks, I thought why the heck is it like that in the first place? I know Fruity has a provision for loading the banks, so does Orion and Cubase for that matter. But hey, obviously that's the way they want to do it so, enough!

You never mentioned Renoise. You mentioned Fruity and Orion, both of which provide load/save functions themselves as does pretty much every other host on the market. This is because the loading and saving of presets is a *host* function.

If Renoise doesn't have features for loading and saving Cubase format presets I can only suggest that you consult with the developer as to why they omitted this vital part of the VST specification.

sure I have, and now I'd like my own bank to be there as soon as I opened the synth

loading a named default bank isn't an alternative to making your own sounds. it's a way to make convenient use of the ones you've made.
