Head voice is definitely what I'm referring to. Not vibrato.

Still a goh-juss track though.

Jeff this is stunning -- absolutely first class music.

It seems to be stylish in this genre these days to use the slip-falsetto, and there's nothing wrong with it at all. Personally, I don't think this girl needs lessons of any kind -- she's a natural and you can tell.

What would benefit her the most IMHO would be to build her strength & wind and thus firmer control on the breaks, and this means gigging or just belting it out as frequently as possible in a studio or even a kareoke place.

On the mix, I can't fault it unless I want to be nit-picking, and I don't

I've been experimenting with softer more acoustic stuff too lately. It's really hard to get things right with sparse instrumentaion and "un-dense" mixes. ...Who am I kidding? It's nigh impossible for me. It's like you actually have to hit the right notes when you don't have all those extra tracks and effects swirling around. Anyway, I really think you and Leora got a good thing going here. A more appropriate title for this thread whould have been, "Can [You Believe How Good] This Girl Sing?"

I don't mean a salesman! Graphic design.... It's a form of marketing, IMO. Anyway, you know about hooks and stuff that gets folks attention and tricks them into buying crap they wouldn't otherwise think about... Not that this music is crap... Oh nevermind...

Lots of comments in here..to many to read...so i`ll just say this;
The recording sounds much like the live recordings/broadcasts,that the producers of "echos livingroom concerts"produce.
It has that warm small room sound.
Very appealing.
It`s not a slick production...(don`t think you intended it to be),but a warm,cozy,sit on the sofa and enjoy production.

Yeah, I know... he probably looks like a cross between Brad Pitt and Leo DeCaprio, with washboard abs and rippling biceps -- sheesh...

If you want some critic... there's not much, but some. In my opinion, her vibrato is a slight bit (not much) off, especially in the beginning. The (vocal) room really comes trough in the mix, sometimes a bit too much for my taste. Really like everything else! A bit Dido-ish voice. Great "romantic-moment-in-the-woods" track.

She sounds currently like a less-experienced version of Sarah McLachlan. Her transition into falseto, and her actual falseto sounds uncomfortable--like she's struggling with sounding natural in them. She could also use more expressiveness in her projection--kinda like voice acting. She definitely has potential.

Yeah, pretty sweet, huh? I haven't met the guy, but I'm sure he's pretty cool if he's a friend of hers.

Thanks Brympa and Lunatique. Sarah McLachlan was the influence I picked up on right away first time I heard her sing. She relaxes a little bit when she's not in front of the mic and sounds better imo. But I think we captured a nice moment here, though.

Firstly she's singing upper register but that isn't head voice - I bet she could sing higher IMHO.
Love the air in the vocal myself - it's very earthy and refreshing to hear .
The number of vocals you hear these days where the singer just never seems too breath - (well so the producers would have you believe ).
Very delicate .
The instrumentation suits her voice.
The pair of you should be damn proud of yourselves.
