I'm not very excited by any of the announcements so far. But then, at Winter NAMM I wasn't initially too excited by Jamstix... now I'm pretty sure we won't see a cooler instrument this year!

Should we expect any more big announcements from Musikmesse? I know at Namm there's a flurry of announcements the first 2 days, but I thought because Musikmesse began on Wednesday, maybe some dev's would wait until Friday/Saturday to announce new developments. Does anyone remember how it's been in the past?

boring?
In those (too) few hours I've seen more than enough. It's especially hot on the saxophone front.

This year really seems to me as the "impulse reverbs" year.
Everyone's doing one, how original !

I think the PhatSpace bundle, from Camel Audio is pretty cool.
Then again, I might have a slight bias for Camel Audio products, since I was part of the team.

White hot, to be sure. But Soulata, I wasn't talking about the saxophone front (which I think we've established may only be viewed through a hole in a paper plate... such is its hotness).soulata wrote:boring?

I was talking about how if you take the list of "news" items, eliminate the things that you already knew were coming but are now "available", the things that don't do anything new (convo verbs, anyone? ) and the things that have increased functionality (and yet are not new), you are left with... not much.
Devine Machine's new effect looks cool, though!

but yeah there were some cool new toys.....
CamelPhat3, CamelSpace, GURU (wow that's gonna be great), Amplitube 2 seems to be cool, too....
yeah and I saw Tracktion controlled via a Mackie Control that was nice....
but as stated before the people updates have been the best: Putte 3.0 is going to be a huge hit... Schroeng is still a beta version but it was cool to have him there... Art 1.0 was supertop nice as was everybody else.... the Ohmforce/Gmedia bundle v2 - well yeah you get it.... it's been a blast - like every year
