They used to be your favorites, or nearly so. They were all over the radio stations you listened to, made up a thick section of your LP collection, everyone knew 'em, everyone loved 'em (everyone we want to think about anyway).

Think back. Who were they? What artists you used to like have fallen by the wayside, whether from the shifting of popular taste or because you moved on to other things, due to group break-ups or deaths or retirements? Are they still recording? If not, do you wish they were? Ever imagine what they might sound like now if they were? :-)

In spite of my thread subject line, this doesn't have to be a "topmostbest#1" thing; no ranking or rating implied. Just a little memory exercise.

I'm thinking of Suzi Quatro. Man, she could kick out some music! My mate introduced me to her music, and I was seriously impressed. Nice pants too. *9_9* Hem.

Soooo... How 'bout you?

The Jeusus & Mary Chain. Sadly no more
Ride - An excellent debut, very good second record, terrible, terrible 3rd and 4th records
Senser - Great singles, oddly produced debut album, then sweet FA in the way of anything good.
Bob Mould - Loved and still love Husker Du and Sugar, but his solo albums dont really cut it. Come back to the band fold!!!

I bought "stop making sense" on DVD a few months ago thinking I'd get a kick out of it, remembering I once thought it was the best concert movie ever, but I've seen it once.

And that's a bit sad.

Concert movies suck. Listen to the music instead :)
