I'd let the Kinks fall by the wayside and then suddenly remembered "Waterloo Sunset" and binged out. Man, what a frickin' genius...some of the music is dated, some not but his genius is enduring - oh yeah...and Moby Grape's first album was a re-revelation as well.

What was the name of that beautiful Magazine instrumental with the pronounced bass line and a saxophone? I've been humming that for weeks.kaden wrote:Bubble Puppy

What can I say? I temporarily worship at the altar of Ray Davies' sensibilities. And his older proto-punk stuff is just as sublime now as it was in 1965.Meffy wrote:Oh, yes, the Kinks! I never forgot them, but there was a long stretch when I didn't listen to 'em much.

Hey, I used to dig Trower. :-) Camel I listen to not infrequently even nowadays.
S_A_P: Didn't read the thread explanation, did we? ;-) *nudge*
There was a time I listened to raw-ther a lot of Blue Oyster Cult. Can't recall the last time I rocked out to Godzilla, or Golden Age of Leather, or Tattoo Vampire...

"The Thin Air" from Secondhand Daylight. Great track, and my favorite Magazine LP.Hovmod wrote:What was the name of that beautiful Magazine instrumental with the pronounced bass line and a saxophone? I've been humming that for weeks.
