Just registered and did a few presets getting my feet wet on this synth:
10 presets. Made first by importing my own TX81Z sounds ( created from scratch)( Edit: but also my version of the Lately Bass preset :-) and tweaking them quite a bit in Floorius. On some I experimented with the different filter types and even did a warp distorto one ( I like it too)I really had to bring down the sustain and release envelopes on most of the imported stuff. Fortunatly, Floorius has a "cut length in half" feature: very handy indeed.

they are here:

At least a few to start with.Comments welcome.

Cool sounds. I really like the rockstrings and the MorphWarp patches. The distrotion effect can pretty scary. Keep them coming!

You probably noticed that the TX81z envelope times need improvement. Also there are no fixed frequency oscillators which means some FM sounds won't work properly. I'm hoping to get these fixed soon.

BTW. Does anyone know of a windows tx81z sysex editor that lets you load and save sysex files without the synth connected via midi?

AWESOME Tim!!! Haven't even tried them yet, but can't wait! :hyper: And like Doogs says - keep 'em coming! :hihi:

Doogs - you may want to check out www.ex5tech.com for your tx81z question? If you go to 'Other Instruments/Manufacturers' in the forum menu, you'll see there's ALOT of heady stuff and info for all things Yamaha as well as Dave Smith et al. Super bunch of guys there, and the head man Ski is a DX/FM guru - I'm sure one of them will have a answer/link to what you're looking for. ;)

well..like I said..its my first attempt, and basically edits of my own TX81z sounds. But got to explore a bit :-)

I use Atari ( still) for my sysex needs, so I don't know about PC apps for doogs Q.

yeah, I already posted that bug in the development thread. Seems like the importer creates envelopes about 10 times as long as the original.
Cant wait to try your presets - thanks for sharing.

Awesome sounds Tim. :hihi: But I was amazed at how much CPU they took? Would that be because of the effects on Foorius? I'd love to lay in some triad chords with your pad sounds, but the CPU just cacks out on me. :(

But even at monophonically, they're pretty dang sweet! :D

go to the presets site and rightclick any of the slots, there you get a menu to load sysex, fxb or patches (those are the *.fpd).
