No - it only shows the ins/outs the plugin is capable of - it doesn't make a midi out or thru when a plugin doesn't have one.muku wrote:Yes.... but isn't that really just a midi throughaMUSEd wrote:Here we have u-tonic hooked up to Kontakt - the first out is the midi out - the next two are audio outs.

If you still don't believe me read this:
http://news.harmony-central.com/Newp/20 ... Tonic.html
Features:
* Windows VSTi 2.0 plug-in, compatible with practically all known VSTi hosts.
* Eight channel drum and percussion synthesizer. Fully automatable.
* Pattern based drum-machine engine, synchronized to the host sequencer.
* 100% synthetic sound, rendered in real-time. No samples.
* Sound-shaping possibilities, including equalizing and distortion for each channel.
* Over-sampled oscillators
* Sample accurate triggering
* Extreme parameter ranges with high resolutions. Works in any sample-rate.
* Cut, copy, paste, load and save programs, individual drum patches and patterns.
* Randomizing functions etc.
* MIDI out support. Use the pattern engine to control other plug-ins.
* CPU efficient. Typically less than 5% CPU utilization for all eight channels on a 2.0GHz P4.
* Comes bundled with a selection of factory sounds and patterns, free to use in productions.

Wow! You mean like ...having an infinite number of hosts stretching to the furthest reaches of my hard drive and causing the neighbours to to come hammering at my door because of the awefull howling feedback loop? Far out dude!
Seriously tho. Anyone fancy giving me the lowdown on how I might route u-tonic in Energy-XT to have it trigger other vsts or create FX etc?
(apologies, I'm fairly new to the VST thing)

From what I can see of the picTinfish wrote:Seriously tho. Anyone fancy giving me the lowdown on how I might route u-tonic in Energy-XT to have it trigger other vsts or create FX etc?
aMUSEd posted...he's already
shown you....it seems to be
similar to the way Tracktion
does it......you just draw a
"connector" from the output
of µtonic to the input of the
synth you want it to trigger.
Can you confirm that aMUSEd?

Thanks. Will do.
I did manage to get u-tonic to trigger sort of, but then Chainer crashed ...and when it crashes it really goes for it and locks my pc so I have to reboot. But its all part of the fun, huh?
Thanka again.
