I read that the other day. Is it just me, or do they need to buy their own damn gear? I can understand why they would need some of that stuff provided to them, but seriously, Ms. Simpson should have enough money to buy her own damn reverb unit.
There was a Nine Inch Nails rider floating around a few years ago with a great typo. Something to the effect of "A dozen fine china bowels".

I Think I read Ashlees dads email address is James.Simpson@aol.com Or something like that.
There are some pretty funny requests in there, and "smoking gun" evidence of lip syncing...

I think its pretty common for a band to rent the big gear unless they are on a huge 50 dollar a seat * 10,000 seat national tour.

I didn't bother to care enough about shitty pop music to notice Ashley Simpson wasn't playing big shows. I figured she probably was, as the unwashed masses do love shitty pop music. The success of American Idol seemed to be all the proof required to validate that assumption.
Excuse all the blood.

You know.... I'm not an Ashley fan... but so what?? I saw NIN and Meatbeat at Masquerade in Atlanta years ago and they both used sequencer tracks. The NIN drummer actually had two cassette decks complete with backing vocals ( years ago remember ) and none of the keyboards were really hooked up or even pretended to be played right.
Manifesto actually played a lot but it was over sequenced sampler tracks. The oil fog was thick and I told my wife to hang next to the wall and I got within 1' of the stage just before NIN came on. If was freakin' great. They had the AC turned off it was 110oF in there and all the girls were stripping down I was stripped to the waist and that was good because they were throwing water all over us. It's an old Masquerade trick to get the girls naked.
I got through about half the show before some fat guy stage dived on my face. It was so hot, there was no air in the crowd, so I got into a football stance and plowed my way out. Sorry if it was you I plowed over... but I had to breath!!
Anyway just as I got out of the mass of human flesh into some cool fresh air and and bent down to hold my knees so I could breath all these people started pounding me on the back.... talking about how cool that was, that they might never have gotten' out but for following me.... I looked up to see about 15 people standing around me.... It was wild. I though I was gonna have to fight somebody I hurt getting out... This was right after they released Hate and very few people knew who they were. Even though I know I was not really listining to a real "live" band it was a great show. Life is so wierd.
Peace

I just noticed that Marilyn Manson requested "Country CRACK margarine"!
Is that like the hardcore ghetto version of Counrty crock?
He also likes his Kool-Aid "Sweetered"

What I'm seeing as I look through these is that the majority of these bands aren't demanding 10 million pieces of gear. As I said before, I'd expect Ms. Simpson could be bothered to go buy her own reverb box. It's understandable that they would ask for some of the big stuff, but they are now listing reverb boxes that sell for a few hundred bucks.
That just seems strange to me.

Marilyn Manson also requested two bottles of, "Absente". Is it just me, or was that supposed to say absinthe?
I'm not exactly sure where the poor runner would have to go in order to procure absinthe, as I'm pretty sure it's completely illegal...
Of course, if he's asking for crack in his butter then who knows...
