I haven't really heard anything about Lyras lately, but that seems suspiciously cheap for a video player... it's either a deal or a ripoff. 
Just bought a Rio Carbon myself for half that, but I don't care about portable video

I'm not sure about recent Lyra's, but older ones I used had nasty DRM built-in - plus forced you to use crap propreitary software to transfer mp3s.
I would avoid. If you want an Ipod photo, chances are you won't really be happy with anything less anyway.
