How to make this sample?

I hear a sample in some songs and I'd really like to recreate it or download it somewhere, but I don't have a clue where to start (when making myself) and what type of sound it is (when searching for it).
I have captured some parts of mp3's where the sound is in:
Ticksound
I'm interested in that *thicka-thicka-thicka* sound you have there. If I get the basic sound I can use arpeggio and wah to get the same effect I guess, but I don't know how to get that basic *thicka*.
Does anyone know where I could find it or some tips on how to make it?

Sounds sorta like an arpegiated synth with a very short release...phased a little perhaps.
Yeah well...I've never heard of you either and I have never once paid for any piece of software. Suckers...

but it could probably be done with a gapper effect or an lfo that ramps the vol up and down over a very short period of time ...
sounds phased too yup or maybe just some cutoff filtering up and down

The original sound could be anything from a sampled sound of someone hitting something or a kick drum sped up or a synth.
What gives it it's sound is the panning LFO, LP filter LFO, and maybe a bit o' flanging.

It's a simple white noise, amplitudo modulated with a square LFO, then filtered with a lowpass filter and panned with something like autopan. It also has a lot of echo and reverb on it, but the main sound is the amplitudo modulated and filtered noise.

You could try a tuned down snare or other drum, layer it up some, vary the start time of one or more layers,be creative with the envelope then add a tiny amount of chorus, now employ a subtle lfo controlled filter sweep with a low resonance setting add some panning and your there.
The above "words" are the ramblings of a depraved megalomaniac.Any similarity to normal communication is a hallucination on the part of the reader.Replying to this post will result in your family and posessions becoming the property of funkynuts.

Hi all, I would like to tell you I recreated it
Thanks for your help.
I've uploaded the complete sample so you can listen to it here.
I created it as follows:
- White noise
- Amplitude LFO (waveform is one I drawed myself: one top of sine for a very short period and for the rest silence). This is repeated 4x per beat.
- Low Cut below 50Hz
- Mid boost
- Wah effect

Well, you could try dimming the lights and complimenting your hand...armageddon2k wrote: I don't have a clue where to start (when making myself)
