After a while (and moving to a new PC system) I tried to reactivate SIR as reverb plugin. But surprisingly, it now refuses to load impulse files.

No matter, which file I choose - I always get an error like this:

ERROR: Cannot load file:Error 24: Cannot open file.: <filename>

Aarghh... what's this? The files are the same as before. They aren't corrupted and load fine both in wave editors and Convo_Boy.

Did I miss anything? PC too fast? (P4 3GHz) Loading files from NTFS? I don't get it!

Any help is appreciated - and if only to understand what's going on...

Oh, and WinXP is just fine - SIR runs without trouble on my Laptop. Same version 1.008

Are the files you are trying to open write-protected?
The current version of SIR is compiled with an older version of my WAV loading library that sometimes gives the error when files are write-protected. I will contact Christian and see if he can include my new library which should fix this error.

Of *course* they were write-protected. I did the transfer from old to new PC via CD-RW. And as always, the files keep the flag "write protected" when copying from CD.
