Hey - I was wondering if any of you guys at smartelectronix are using Objective C or Java to do your AudioUnits? Just curious if anyone uses anything other than c/c++ to code plugins.

Thanks -- Rob

C++ here...

I know about a VSTJava wrapper but none for AU.
there's also tobybear using python+delphi in VST.

anyway interpreted languages and DSP are not so common in real world applications.

Yup, I expected as much. Thanks for your response.

Not to sound like a traitor here, as SmEx I think by now knows how much I love them... But another brilliant developer that uses C++ for his unique and creative plugs is Niall over at

In case you didn't know. ;)

I have to admit, Niall does really cool things and not only plugins BTW.
