the plug-in which will distort the audio in accordance with these impulses? Sounds funny. Actually, I'm not interested here - if SIR sounds better to your taste why not simply use SIR?
:o ok.... the last thing i want to do here is dog anyone's plugins. I think the Voxengo stuff is pure genius... all of it!! I am not saying i have a problem with PSpace.... i just noticed a difference and wondered what was going on. Honestly.... the first time i loaded the neve impulse into SIR i was surprised at how crispy it was.... having never used a real neve i thought they were much warmer sounding than that. However.... i found a use for the crispy, smile, sound i was hearing. I ended up liking it on acoustics and vox here and there. When the same impulse sounded different in PSpace i just wondered why.
SIR produces errors when realtime downsampling 96kHz to 44.1kHz, whereas the Voxengo plugs are deadly accurate (go figure, as their r8brain is a top-drawer re-sampling utility).
ShaBang!! :) That's why!!

I will try Convo Boy to see how it handles the 96k files. There is a free version without the EQ?? Or a demo to download?

Jer

jerdude, no problems with that. :) You may even try generating an impulse file in the SIR and then use it in Pristine Space. :)

i noticed there's a big difference in sound when using common 44.1kHz samples between sir and ps..
sir seems to lack the bottom end and amplifies a certain midrange frequency.. anyone noticed this ?
