This is a companion piece to coma inducer. Less coma than the last one, but still not so easy to pump your fist along to (but please, by all means try).

Ok it's finished now. Not much to say excepting that it's another perfect piece of minimalism. You pull this sort of thing off much better than most 'rated' artists in the genre IMO. Pure bliss.

This is ssoothing after listening to all the contest entries so far. Creates empty, vast dystopian landscapes. The piece from around 6:11 is creepy - in a good way. Thank you for sharing!

Wow, that was beautiful.

Beautiful yet tense in all the right places. I envy your ability to create such smooth tracks without becomeing tedious.

If you don't mind me asking, what do you use to generate your primary sounds?

I'm considering doing a third coma track soon, but I'll be moving on to some noisier material next.

Thanks Thomas. I was sort of going for creepy, so that's great. Listening to all the contest entries can wear you down, it's good to have an audio icepack handy.

I've been working on ways of distorting pitch. This has an old victrola vibe to me, kind of John Oswald meets Guy Maddin aesthetic. Old SciFi had that quality, that kind of distortion through cheap materials.

It's a goal of mine that all the music I make goes well with the honking of a car horn in the distance. Success, I would say!

To my shame, I don't really know. The sounds in this one came from a file I had made about a month ago called "string 2.wav". No idea what I used to make it, but I'd guess it was Chaotikmind's Bowed synth and some effects (don't know which).

Everything gets done in Audiomulch, so my source material gets fairly altered through several passes of pitchshifting, distortion, modulation etc. The warble here was Kjaerhus's Golden Modulator and the slow rise in pitch over the first half was done in Sound Forge. I generally just start stacking and layering everything till it sounds vaguely acceptable.
