I find that it crashes when trying to do bulk translations from ensoniq CDrs. Wanting to know if others have this problem?

I tried the demo once, and it kept crashing miserably no matter what I tried to convert.

I use it all the time. It's amazing. But, certain things, since it does so many, you have to contact Garth (the chief chicken) to see if there are any issues or settings to know about that will help your translation.

those of you who are very computer literate, can you tell me, if I have some instability in my system, can it cause the problem with translator? I had a crash a while back, from installing drivers wrong, had to do a system restore and ever since, I can't use sampletank in FL without it crashing, and I'm sure that's a result of the crash. So could this problem with translator have to do with my configuration/ OS problems? Maybe I need to do a clean install.

If you are having system instability, it always helps to format and install the OS again, if all else fails.

these guys have a link to send problem files, so it appears to be a common problem. Pathetic to put out a product and market it for something it doesn't do then treat the customers as beta testers.

7thsense, I think you're making a bit of a leap there. It might be best to figure out whether the system instability you mention is behind the malfunction before pinning the blame on Chicken Systems. Even then, better than blaming would be to work with them to resolve the problem.

That's sad. I always wonder why there are so many bad ppl in high positions.

it says that forum is sponsored by chicken sys. Mine crashes with bulk translations but those some disc will translate when I drag and drop individual folders. More time consuming , but at least I only have to do it once.

Comes in handy, I found some nice giga samples and turned them to soundfonts.

Anybody use chicken systems Translator??
