Thanks for the comments! The linking option would be nice, but would potentially double the number of coefficients that needed calculating. (Currently these are shared for both channels).

However, as all four bands are actually identical with (parallel side-chains) you could always set two bands to the same frequency, with one set to mid and the other to side..

I just had to bump this.
I compared the results with this plug and the $280 sonalksis DQ1 Dynamic Equaliser and I did prefer the results of the IQ4...the sonalksis had a smoother sound, but to my ears the IQ4's crisper/sharper sound is nicer.

I think I've figured it out. It's because 75% of the people on here are college freshman who still feel compelled to whine about such things, one way or the other.

10 years from now they'll realize that they weren't the first to think such things, the first to rebel, or the first to reject what was shoved on them. Then they'll realize no one gives a damn about their rebellion, except possibly their parents. But by then they'll realize that their parents weren't all that bad because, they, the once college freshmen, will have had to go out in the real world and earn a living. :o

Lovely gui on this, by the way.

Wow, thanks for bumping this thread, that EQ looks delicious!

How is it on the CPU? (Being Synthedit and all I mean, sometimes that means nasty CPU-hits).

Nice work, Dan ... ;-)

You should consider adding three bands of regular EQ to the design. Then you'll basically have the software version of the Weiss EQ1-MK2

Nice job overall.

Just wanted to say how much I'm liking this plugin. Thanks a million.

You can't. PM me your email if you really want it, but it looks ugly and is less flexible (no upward compression or downward expansion options)

IIRs Thank you very much for your work.
I will stay with this great machine you created.
