If any voice alone can make me cum, and I mean cum hard... Chrissie is the siren of my ears. 
Who else could get away with a album like 'Get Close' with her band and actually make it sound plausibly good?
But yeah, she was a N.Y. skank hanging at Max's and CBGB's with Debbie Harry and David Johanson et al, and I've got pictures to prove it.
But man, could she hold a cigarette and a drink!
Yet her marriage(?) to Jim Kerr of Simple Minds I think did both the bands in possibly? Giving her residence in England didn't further the appeal early Pretenders music had established there. And David Bowies praise of Simple Minds didn't boost longevity either for that band.
The two were almost too 'perfect', and paid the price all 'false gods' must pay.
But Chrissie will forever be the angelic chanteuse IMHO, whether she's busking in London or Gotham now.
