The plastic wrap filter is a bit cliché, if you ask me. It's sorta like the over usage of photoshop's lens flare...
If you've gotta use it, tweak about with it afterwards, so people will say "Oooohh! Cool cover!", rather than "Ooooh! Cool co...wait, did he just slap a stock filter on it and call it a day?"
That said, I prefer the first one
