sorry for the generic post, but i've been looking at a few multi-fx vsts and there's nothing that seems very "industry standard" if i can use that phrase. Im looking for a really solid, sweet sounding fx VST that's getting a lot of use by KVRers. As to the fx themselves, I'm thinking well-loved effects like chorus, flange, delay, tremolo, etc. But perhaps others.

What are the recommendations?

what about e-fex modulator? :hihi:

well PSP Nitro would fit the bill... and if you want even more effects... take a look at quantum-fx

Kjaerhus GMO?

Voxengo Vintage Modulator + AnalogFlux is pretty as well...

Probably neither is very "industry standard", but both have a good user base...

Did you look at Betabugs? Not multi-effects, but a multitude of single-effects ;)

the industry standard would have to be the waves plugs...or, maybe even the native Logic plugins, those are really good and almost everyone on a mac/logic uses them.

Couldn't testify to the quality of the FX but for zero bucks Luxonix LFX-1310 looks like it does what you want.Might not be 'industry standard' but it's free!

lfx-1310 is wonderful. I've wondered how much use it gets around here. I know the author is well thought of in terms of quality and the cpu hit is negligible! reverb/delays/overdrive/saturation/distortion/bit crusher/phaser/compression all in one tidy package. Definitely worth a look. It's the fx package for their drum synth, I believe.
..what goes around comes around..

I think LFX-1310 is what you are looking for. Covers a load of bases in one go.

This is the one! Others are really good too, maybe even better, but this is the one you think of and it's really good.

I'm checking out Luxonix LFX-1310 now, but I'm not necessarily looking for a free plug. Any other ideas?

Nitro as already mentioned. Also consider Filterscape, Ronin, Quadfrohmage, and OhmBoyz. All will give you a slightly different approach to MultiFX units.

Worth checking out if you like to spend money is the Scarbee Vintage FX. Sounds good and allows for semimodular signal path.

You could also investigate using a chainer or modular host and creating your own out of separate plugins. To start, maybe download all the Kjaerhus Classic series and try stacking them in something like CTAF's MultiFXVST and see what you get.

Cheers,
Steve

Definately www.kjaerhusaudio.com - get the freebies and check out the commercial stuff. I love the way the modulation effects can be locked to host tempo if you want. In the Golden Modulator, you can also dial in the amount of phase shift from the host tempo - which is pure genius. Want the tremolo to peak on 2 and 4 instead of 1 and 3? - no problem!

For choice of sounds, anyone who takes the time to download and check out all freebies will find they have more quantity and quality of effects than any single commercial FX pack. Some of the best are freebies.
