Use Borogove's tiny splitter & them use any compressor you want afterwards..
Exactly - tiny splitter & Wide Boy FreEQ...we have some great choices for crossovers for multi-band multi-flavor comp/lim. 8)

is not technically a multi-band compressor as most people know them. Most people would consider bands as frequency bands. Neodynium is unique in that the bands are not frequency but rather by decibel.
Thus, you can compress or expand sounds in different decibel ranges. (and use different ratios, attacks, release, etc.)
You have to try it out to see how you can really mess with sounds. You still need a multi-band compressor if you want to do use frequency bands.
I use PSP Vintage Warmer for that purpose.

Damn, didn't know the Ultrafunks were revived. Thought they were never to be seen again after the closing of the company.

I've used most of the free comps out there. And IMO Stardust is by far the best free multiband comp out there :)
He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

Go for Stardust http://www.kvraudio.com/get/1413.html and you can't go wrong. Multiband Compressor and more.
Eventually something intelligent will appear written here. Watch this space.

Gets my vote too, you can do some nice stuff and it's very transparent. It loads by default with any new track I make and often stays alone on the master FX bus.

Endorphin is also really nice, it was my weapon of choice before, but when doing quick and very non-scientific A/B comparisons MJ seemed to beat it, MJs also has a lot of more settings while still straightforward to use.

Edit: Is Stardust really multiband? It has a "multiband" section in the screenshot but I certainly can't see any settings for frequencybands anywhere.

holy crap! stardust looks awesome! thank you!
I'll try that baby out

It seems that to unwrap RAR files you need a special program (like WinRAR). Any free ones out there?

Post

WinRAR will run free for a while before it starts nagging you i think..
