hi,
I'm searching for a special sample which I don't have yet. I think it's well-known: It's like a classic orch-hit sound but with a brass sound, and is often used in 80s style hip-hop music (Always the same sample I think).
Where can I get THIS sound?
bye
Chris

According to an articleI read on Music Thing, The Orch5 sound from the Fairlight CMI is the most used sample ever. That would probably be your victim as the time frame appears to be right.

Thanks, this sample is great too, but I'm searching for something else. It's not an orch-hit sound like this. It's more like a sample from an old jazz or big-band record. Sounds brassy and very funky.

its probably classic sample from James Brown's Get up offa that thing. or thats my guess anyways. First 2 is from that "get up offa" track and last is from Brass Construction track called Movin'.

I think he is talking about something like a trumpet or another brass instrument when it falls? I got a few if that's what your looking for. If you look around you could find them yourself though. (Sorry if anyone is confused about the brass fall, hard to explain!)
