Online retailers that sell ethnic/world (multi)samples?

Here's the deal, I'm looking for random ethnic instrument samples (Wav format I guess, to import into SampleTank 2) to add to my sample library. Middle Eastern kinda stuff is what I'm particularly after, but I love world instrument in general and would welcome any kind of instrument I can find.
I've looking for an online shop that sells 'em, preferably in downloadable form, but not necessary. I've checked out that Time Space site, and it's got some interesting titles to purchase, but nothing in the download section that interests me.
I've found other retailers, but most of the wares are of a loop nature. I'm not looking for loops, just one-shot samples or multisamples.
I don't mind spending money on a reputable company, but free stuff is always good.
I'm on a severe budget, so I'm looking for inexpensive stuff, no world class uber-libraries or anything.
Soooo, anyone have any suggestions? I HATE having to Google this kinda thing and search through hundreds of results to find what I'm looking for.

Have you checked out PowerFX? I don't know how "ethnic" they are but they do a bunch of downloadable samples so you may be able to find a trove in their stock.

If you are looking for multisamples, check our site www.precisionsound.net. Lots of ethnic & unusual multisamples like the "Swedish Keyharp" and “J-Celeste” among others...

You could also check out this set.

eSoundz is going to open a downloadable sound area for Sampletank and other format instruments. It should be up very soon! Squids has said there will be lots of worrld stuff available.
Also, if you do a search on ebay for Akai Samples, there are several people who have some great samples that will load into Sampletank. One guy is called sampleheaven, but he doesn't seem to have any auctions going right now.

Harmony - $160 is too expensive for me.
I'm REALLY looking forward to Esoundz, it's exactly the kind of system I'm looking for, I'm just getting really impatient.

Precisionsound - that site looks like it has some really cool stuff, unfortunately, everything I looked at is made for specific samplers like HALion and Kontakt. Since I use SampleTank 2, I'd need ST native format or Wav format (ST can't convert other proprietary formats).

Here's the ebay guys ratings. Keep an eye out for him. I bought a two disk set called Sacred Temple for $22. I think he's got what you want, there are about 5 or 6 different world sets in about the same price range. Maybe he'll send you a catalog.

I have a couple of the Precisionsound libraries which both came with the wave samples in a separate directory (the halion/kontakt programs just pointed to the sample directory) so you should be able to utilise them if all their libraries are the same as the ones I have.Arglebargle wrote:Precisionsound - that site looks like it has some really cool stuff, unfortunately, everything I looked at is made for specific samplers like HALion and Kontakt. www.wizoosound.com
I bought a nice multi-sampled Koto from there last year, I think it was about $8 US. They have plenty of other stuff, mostly with mp3 demos, so its worth checking out.
Oh yeah, and its all downloadable.

Hey guys ..Im from Pakistan and im new at this forum . Im a guitar Player / Producer here . I have many eastern ethnic musicians here . I am interested in compiling a cd of wave loops of percs like DUFF which are not yet found in the western world ( as im the most frequent user of the music technology and i cant find any good ethnci grooves that are editable such as in Stylus ) . i can also include single shots for samplers . i have an IT company too and have knowledgable programmers for Java to program any kinda software requirement for the wave cd to be editable .
I just have this idea to do this project . Anyone here who is interested to work on this project please mail me at nabeelchishty@hotmail.com (mailto:nabeelchishty@hotmail.com)
im looking for advices if thsi project is feasable or not . As many softwares are there but still they havent covered the ethnic instruments teh way they have done with Drums .
let me know
Waiting .
thanx

At the the download section, there is a free syrian drumset.

There was a multisampled frame drum here available for cheap ($20 I think), but now its been taken down since the author made a deal with Scarbee. Maybe email him to see how you can purchase it?

thanx KamuiX1999, I already have the one mentioned, nice but insufficient, sigh.
thanx floyd, cool link and those demos..
fetching my dogs for infos/future releases dates, etcetera.
even if with scarbee's I REALLY fear for my wallet.
In fact I'm mostly sure I'll never get his new Mystic WalletSucker.

How about www.boldersounds.com and get yourself a sample converter. Amazing sounds. Very good quality and of all the samples I've tried they are very playable.
