midi keyboard in fl

sorry i dont know if this has being done before i searched & couldnt find anything. i got prodikeys dm midi keyboard and i cant make it work in fl4. i tried the fl "help" (my ass) but nothing works... can anyone help me?
ps. the keyboard is working with reason 3

Make sure the keyboard is selected as your MIDI input device in FL's MIDI settings.
Make sure 'Enable MIDI Remote Control' is ticked in the 'Options' menu.

i dont even know how to use a keyboard with fl... what do i do to make it work with a vst? and yes everything you guys said ive done it... but i dont know how to use it and the help isnt that helpful lol..

Why are you running FL4 to begin with? Update to version 5 first...
And using a keyboard inside FL is as simple as selecting an instrument or sample-channel and playing on the keyboard, as long as I have a keyboard connected it always worked straight away for me (and I'm using an ancient, cheap, plastic Casio keyboard!).
