The Drill SoundFont in SF2 format is a sampled Electric Hammer Drill.

In the font you will find one bank with 3 presets each containing a variation of the drill. Each has been layered and the keyboard range is A4 to D5 with up to 6 velocity depths and 36 layers. One preset is mainly high speeds, the other lower attacks and the third is the hammer drill groining into rock (mainly slow for better effect) some layers cross over each key others key range with the rock preset and responds well to velocity changes.

Cool for effects – add a touch of reverb on a send if you want a bigger drill, experiment. :D

You can download the sound font from here

Cheers Manytone, :)

That’s one of my favoured drills :D – poor thing on its last legs (I must sample it trying to do reverse)

Its pretty much unprocessed – not ‘hot’ (bar the loop points) and this should allow just about any effect to be added – I did a quick percussion type demo with effects added to give an idea (FL Modulation, compression, reverb and EQ)

I wish more people would do unique stuff like this.
I'd rather see something unusual that wouldn't necessarily get used ALL the time, than the 6000'th synth pad soundfont :hihi:

I've really got to get off my ass and post some fun soundfonts...

Hehe, cool! Now, who's doing the first drill-exclusive tune?
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

so i havent used soundfonts since my emu audio production studio card many many years ago - what's a good free player these days?
this drill looks sweet!

hi,

:) yeah this is great! I also wanted to post some percussion sounds only made with stuff around my desktop. I should do it when my new microphone arrives.
It seems that I'm not the only one having such crazy ideas :hihi:

So come on people! Post some crazy FX too! :D

bye
