Is version 2 supposed to have some sort of timestretching features aside from being able to imprt Acid files? I haven't seen that anywhere on the site.

Also...I thought I read on these forums that it will have PDC. Is that correct? Again, haven't read that anywhere on Cakewalk's site.

Thanks for any insight.

WHile we're at it, if anyone knows - does P5v2 have something like the "warp markers" in Ableton Live, and as such can you quantise audio?

In terms of comparing the two I'm assuming from the screen shots that there is no mixer in P5 still (i.e. track-based mixing as in Tracktion), and that it is Windows only...?

HI

A cakewalk rep stated here a week ago that P5 does have PDC.

Flipper.

That's good news. Now about that timestretching... :)

As far as I'm aware you can turn *.wav into acidized loops in P5 v2

That's cool. I'm looking for functionality along the lines of FLStudio, where you drag an audio file to stretch it.

I guess your're referring to the warp markers? I guess I don't really know how they work  How would you stretch, say, an entire vocal performance using those markers? Would you have to go and manually set them up at each verse? Just curious as to how it works.

I'd probably cut it into smaller chunks of (say) four bars - to acidize material like vocals etc. can be a tricky thing - but Sonar/P5v2 is very good at it if you know how to tweak it... - but the acid format is actually rather meant to be used for short loops... :-)

ok guys, does it have something like chopper of acid pro? looking forward to p5 v2. it seems that it's a good combination of acid/fls/live.
